In CEI’s experience, good project management is a primary building block for successful application development and outsourcing engagements. Therefore, CEI encourages its project managers to obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) certification promoted by the Project Management Institute (PMI^®), project management’s leading global professional association. The PMI certification program is a globally accepted, examination-based, professional certification program that fosters excellent project management skills.

To be eligible for the PMP certification, the project manager must first meet specific education and experience requirements and agree to adhere to a code of professional conduct. Then, the project manager must pass a multiple-choice examination designed to objectively assess and measure project management knowledge. Once project managers become certified, they must demonstrate an ongoing professional commitment to the field of project management by satisfying PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements Program.
