CEI Redesigns Web Site Incorporating Documentum Content Management with ATG Personalization

This Fortune 1000 pharmaceutical operating company was looking for a complete overhaul of its existing web site. Their web site was primarily a static HTML website with information content only. This web site did not align with the company's rebranding initiatives, nor did it provide the foundation for them to grow and provide enhanced features to its customers (hospitals, physicians, and patients). The company was looking for an integration partner to help provide the vision and direction for their new online identity, and to help them craft a strategic plan to achieve their longer term vision.
CEI's solution included designing, and developing a new web site destination in
accordance with the standard architecture defined by the corporate IT
organization for all of its affiliates' web site projects (internet, intranet,
extranet). This involves ATG as the application server, Documentum as the
content management solution (CMS), Convera as the search utility, and SQL Server
as the RDMS. CEI worked closely with the client to define the web site
functionality requirements, as well as helped design the UI, leveraging CEI's
graphical design experts. Features built into the solution include a data driven
architecture, dynamic menus, multi-lingual capabilities, search, online
collaboration through an online meeting place, registration, and logon/logoff
capabilities. CEI managed this project from start to finish using a blended
onshore/offshore delivery model.
CEI successfully delivered a newly branded and enhanced website on time and
under budget. The new site marks a dramatic improvement from the company's old
site, and positions them to leverage their online channel to help drive growth
strategies. CEI has met and exceeded all of the client's expectations and are in
continued discussions on how to build in additional features, such as
personalization, targeted marketing, product catalogs and commerce capabilities.
